Our Management Team:
Dr. Jan Northup, President of Management Training Systems, Inc. is an internationally known author, speaker and organizational strategist. Dr. Northup began serving as a confidential advisor, executive coach and strategic and planning consultant to senior-level decision makers in military and government agencies and private and public corporations. Numerous organizations have drawn on her expertise in working with top and mid-level managers in the areas of strategic planning, transitional planning, quality improvement and pre-employment recruiting and hiring.
At the same time, Dr. Northup has kept her ties with academia. Currently an adjunct faculty at Bellevue University, she develops and teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in the areas of organizational design, strategic planning, team building, leadership, and marketing. Additionally, Jan has taught at numerous universities including Thunderbird, The American Graduate School of International Management, and George Washington University
As a Professional Behavioral and Values Analyst, she has assisted organizations in meeting employee development needs in subjects including Mentoring, Conflict Resolution, Team-Building, Wellness in the Workplace, Change Management and Project Planning.
Dr. Northup created of The Promotable Woman: What Makes The Difference video training program that has been featured on the Public Broadcasting Service. Dr. Northup has been a featured speaker at numerous regional and national conferences and was the first woman to conduct a nationwide speaking tour of Australia on women's management issues. Jan has made frequent radio and television appearances discussing the factors that make the difference in the lives of successful people. Close to one million people worldwide have attended her seminars, training classes and presentations.
In recognition of her professional and community accomplishments, she has been the recipient of numerous awards and commendations.
Sheryl Stephen, Director of Operations, brings to any project a unique combination of technical and human relations expertise. Beyond her formal training in the counseling and coaching arena, she has kept current with the technical demands of the learning process and is a certified Behavioral and Values Analyst. Upon joining Management Training Systems, Inc. in 1990, she quickly applied her people skills in working with clients requiring one-on-one analysis of business needs. She continues offering personalized attention clients assisting with designing and implementing customized organizational assessments, de-briefing behavioral and values analysis reports and providing technical training and support to clients.
Eydie Hiebert, Director of Canadian Operations located in Alberta, Canada, brings to Management Training Systems, Inc. a varied portfolio, which enriches the MTS mission. Her previous background in management, marketing and training, and life experiences provide versatility and strength within the company. In addition to the training and development of employees, she has mentored individuals to perform at their best. Her strengths are: conceptualizing the needs of organizations, taking action, maximizing a work force, organizing, taking command and learning from the experience. She believes that working with the positive attributes of each person, brings forward empowerment and loyalty. Productivity increases, and efficient teams emerge building a stronger company. Eydie has attended the Marcus Buckingham Simply Strengths workshop, promoting strength and knowledge, through positive self awareness. She is a professional speaker and holds certificates in Basic Human Relations, a diploma in Interior Design and is currently working on her Occupational Health and Safety studies with the University of Athabasca. Eydie is a certified Health and Safety External Auditor in Alberta and Saskatchewan, Canada. Additionally, she is a certified Behavioral and Values Analyst.
