The Promotable Woman:  Have We Come A Long Way Baby? comes 20 years after Dr. Northup’s initial research project The Promotable Woman:  What Makes The Difference.  Her passion for helping women in developing the skills, attitudes and behaviors required for achieving equity in the workplace is the foundation for Have We Come A Long Way Baby?

One of the most critical issues effecting the modern day work environment is the impact of the changing workforce.  Women will continue their strong presence in the labor force with increasing numbers moving into supervisory, management and decision-making roles. Organizations will need to prepare women with the necessary skills to meet the challenging requirements of the future.

 

THE PROMOTABLE WOMAN, HAVE WE COME A LONG WAY, BABY? is a multi-dimensional program exploring the factors that have made the difference in the lives of successful women and is based on research about high performing people, both men and women.  While the skills essential for professional success are common to both genders, research has shown that women must incorporate additional traits in order to achieve optimal success in the workplace.
